Who are we ?
As a family estate, Michel’s vineyard is re-born today from the collaboration of a mother, Florence, and her daughter, Sandra.
The Michel’s vineyard first flourished in the 90’s when Florence took hold of a 88 square feet vineyard already in her family. She rapidly started a production of wines and Cémants d’Alsace that lasted for 13 years. In a little over 30 years, Florence also managed to expand the vineyard to now reach over 6 hectares.
It’s after a career change in 2020 that Sandra officially took part in the family business to once again produce wines and Crémants d’Alsace at the Michel’s vineyard.
We are now pleased to be able to offer you the 7 grape varieties available in our region, Alsace. All of which are produced in the respect for the environment and of the vine.
The Michel’s vineyard is exclusively located in the town of Marlenheim that is the starting place of the Alsace Wine Road. Our 6 hectares of vines are mostly present on the Marlenberg hill and in the Grand Cru Steinklotz area.
The Marlenberg hill has a great variety of grounds and soils with chalky, clay-limestone, and sandy soils. This diversity gives wines with a slightly acidic body, wines with spiced notes and a rounder taste or lighter, finer wines.
Independent and passionate winegrowers, we have at heart to offer wines in our image and corresponding to our values.
So come discover us and find what you are looking for in our array of wines ranging from dry to mellow wines, without forgetting the sparkling Crémant, typical of Alsace.
